About Us

Florence Lock & Key was founded in 1993 by Mark Sienkiewicz in the back of his Chevy Cavalier. From the beginning, Mark has been a mobile locksmith around the Pioneer Valley, working on residential, commercial and various other properties. While he has upgraded his vans over the years, most recently to the big white Nissan NV, he still maintains the ability to handle almost any job thrown at him with his large selection of inventory in the back.

Florence Lock & Key officially became a Mom and Pop company in 1993, when Mark married Jackie, who is known to most as “The Voice of Florence Lock & Key”. When you call the business and talk to Jackie, she will use her 30 years of lock knowledge to walk you through your questions and help you choose the best options for your project.

Mark has over 30 years of experience in lock work, which also means he has over 30 years of stories to tell during his locksmithing days. He can tell you about the time he worked on a local movie set in Northampton for the film “The Cider House Rules”, to working on the studios of Eric Carle or Kevin Eastman, Creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

While Mark is not working, during the summer he is assistant coaching the Northampton American Legion Post 28 Baseball team and during the winter he can be found attending UMass Hockey games.

Around Easthampton, Mark volunteers with Easthampton CERT (Community Emergency Response Team), helping with local events, fires, and natural disasters that need extra support. Mark has been a part of CERT since 2004, helping with local parades, community events, and natural disasters such as the 2011 tornado.

Mark is proud to live and work in the Pioneer Valley, and looks forward to doing business with you!
